“Everybody tie your shoes, clap clap!”
The kids scream.
They think that he’s singing that funny song just for the love of being random. What they don’t know is that Gerard’s shoes are untied for real. From his vantage point, Bob can see the loose laces, almost as white as the singer’s skin.
Bob counts up to three and runs to Gerard to tie up his shoes.
The kids scream.
“All done,” he says then, high-fiving his bandmate before rushing back. When he hears another, louder scream, Bob snickers.
Gerard has never specified that his laces shouldn’t be tied together.
